Forgetting the pain whilst also forgetting his daughter. This does indeed put his mind at ease but is this isn't a solution but rather "fixing" something with ductape. Its a quick fix but you'll regret it later if it doesn't hold anymore and you can't fix it properly now

In other words: Fuck you random entity

James • 1 year ago

He asked to get his daughter back but the entity said "naw bro just forget". Chrome needs to sue! That wasn't part of the deal!

Superb Villain Veigar • 1 year ago

It is easier to make someone forget things than it is to summon the dead back to life and the dude wanted to travel to the next world like asap, its not like Murlock took the body of his dead daughter with him for revival...

Rondo • 1 year ago

Yeah, but taking the chance to give the dude dementia is just cursing him out of spite for asking too much.

Superb Villain Veigar • 1 year ago

Yeh he took the evil easy way out....

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

probably the saddest part is that sure, revival is a thing in this world, but only if done ASAP (and it still costs money)

so it was a double whammy

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

It was pretty cleared that random entity just doesn't give a f*ck what would comes after lmao. As much as forgetting things might be the best solution but it wasn't the best solution to the problem. I just hope he found some spell that can restored his memories or something to weaken his curse like the witch and face his reality, considering that he has power that might almost equal to that random entity.

vovan1 • 1 year ago

i mean i wouldn't mind forget spell, if suffering endlessly is the other option.

Quendi • 1 year ago

Except that wasn't the only option in this situation. It's just that the random shiny boy just didn't give a fuck and just erased his memory.

Rondo • 1 year ago

He even cared so little that he gave Morlock late stage dementia instead of taking the effort to just erase the memories of the mother/daughter that were the source of the pain.

"You want to bring back your daughter that died while you were out working? How about you just never remember anything ever again instead."

Superb Villain Veigar • 1 year ago

He took the easy way out for sure!

MeguminExplosion • 1 year ago

Cant regret what you cant remember big brain moment.

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 1 year ago

I thought Morlock became forgetful because he delved into time magic in order to revive/save his daughter but I'm surprised to find out instead a new entity erased his memories to meet him halfway. I believe that's actually worse than him not being able to turn back time, I don't think he as a father wanted to forget his daughter.

It was interesting to find out he summoned Saitou, I had a feeling when he came into Raelza's room as soon as it happened but getting more of a confirmation here was good. I wonder if he was trying to summon that entity instead but ended up with Saitou.

I knew Morlock was going to forget why he had stopped time, I hope he's able to remember in time because it'd suck to have to go through that incantation again when everyone is being overpowered. I thought there could have been a chance for Saitou to be able to move around because he was touching Morlock but I guess not.

Rohan Jow • 1 year ago

before 100 counts, i hope he:

- remembers to kill the pillar
- forgets his spell incantations
- uses his staff to stab each of the pillar's eyes to kill it.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

Imagine if that's how he defeats it
the old fashioned way

Superb Villain Veigar • 1 year ago

That is a bit savage isn't it?!! Still I support it!

「RaanShi」 • 1 year ago

"Remember in time" while time is stopped is very funny to me.

Dbz Directioner • 1 year ago

You came to a better conclusion than me on why morlock was forgettful. I just thought it was because of Old Age.😂

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

I am still surprised they gave him an entire backstory for his dementia

they could have just said "is old age" and it would be fine

BizzaReOtaku • 1 year ago

i mean this pretty much ties in why Saitou is there in the first place and gives greater depth to the story and Morlock's background. so even better.

Dbz Directioner • 1 year ago

I know right.😂

Mega-Chad-Type-Hero • 1 year ago

Speculation : Time-pause runs out, without Chrome/Morlock actually doing anything, but, some-how, possible due to the time-freeze, manages to remember a bit more detail about spell-casting (why waste those 100 seconds after all; may as well think hard whilst looking at the situation around him). The spell wears off, but, Morlock/Chrome, because of the Wisdom thought up during the time-pause, immediately tells Saitou to also simultaneously hold onto his staff whilst he is re-casting the time-stopping spell amidst Saitou's objections, who reluctantly agrees after realising or figuring out that time must have only stopped for the caster upon Chrome's/Morlock's insistence in yelling at Saitou to shut up and listen because there is not enough time to explain...

...this time, upon the spell being cast successfully, both Saitou & Morlock/Chrome are unaffected by the time-freeze, allowing Saitou to be present to help/assist Morlock/Chrome with doing what they need to do whilst the time-space is frozen, Saitou then being key/pillar to help Chrome/Morlock remember a variety of spells that they barrage the eye-demon with... I guess we will just have to wait until the next Episode to see what actually happens though.

Osaru Sensei • 1 year ago

Let's just say as a manga reader, I am very much looking forward to seeing the plot animated next week.

him being forgetful on his incantation is a running gag of the show

WorldGN18 • 1 year ago

this anime is turning into one of my favorites this season, like I wasn't expecting any of this at all, and that f*ck that entity they didn't just erased his memories of his daughter but almost entirely who he is

this anime is good. im surprised the reviews were bad.
they are lying that this anime is poor lmao

WorldGN18 • 1 year ago

seems like we share similar taste hehe

we got good taste lmao

He said he don't remember summoing him though.

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 1 year ago

Of course he wouldn't, he can't even remember his spells lol.

_dimmed_ • 1 year ago

He still have the scroll and hide it, that means he must have read it sometimes ago, and might even spelling it as incantations in which case accidentally bring Saitou to his world. Even if he lost most of his memory, he's still human and his curiosity will definitely drive him wanting to know why he forget everything in his life, but at some point he forget that he forget :LOL and didn't use the incantations in the scroll till later in the story long after he met Raelza and Lafanpan.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

That entity was kind of an ass for doing that. Even if you could argue that was karma form Morlock's deeds, that was so harsh.

Wouldn't be surprised if Morlock WAS trying to somehow track that entity. Imagine if that entity is now chilling back in Saitou's world.

I screamed "SHYAIT" when the incantation ended with "only he move though time".Hopefully he remembers he has to kill the eye pillar

Naga Teja • 1 year ago

What's if saitou is morlock daughter who was dead and reincarnated in modern world and again summoned by morlock like its fate , any chance maybe 🤔🤔

SkyNatsu • 1 year ago

Omg you blew my mind.

Quendi • 1 year ago

It's probably more likely that it is Raelza who's actually Morlocks daughter...similar hair color and same eye color and all that. And i do seem to recall that in one of the previous episodes Raelza referred to herself as Raelza Morlock. Which at the time was a bit odd but now with the whole daughter thing etc. it would make a lot more sense.

xXPORTALXx • 1 year ago

I think it's more likely he adopted Raelza out of subconscious lingering feelings for his late daughter...

Quendi • 1 year ago

That could very well be the case. We will have to see if the anime is even going to tackle that question in the first place.^^ And with no real timeframe it's hard to tell if Raelza being his daughter is even remotely possible considering her age now.

Superb Villain Veigar • 1 year ago

Like he did with the dwarf apprentice

Mega-Chad-Type-Hero • 1 year ago

«Luke, I am your father...»
...oups, wait, perhaps, more like...
«Morlock, I am your daughter...»

BlazedSpaceViking420 • 1 year ago

*Hits Blunt*

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

Maybe
Maybe not
Maybe Raelza is for all we know

Superb Villain Veigar • 1 year ago

There is a chance

OGkana • 1 year ago

that transition to opening was pretty smooth

ShoutinginaEmptyvalley • 1 year ago

There is not one smooth thing in this show how much drugs are you on

grunt • 1 year ago

after the quality of animes we get now drugs are needed to cope

go1 • 1 year ago

If you dont like it then go somewhere else.
It's a "fan only" zone. :)

Ognjen • 1 year ago

It's not, it's for everyone and if someone has an opinion let them be, plus nothing he said was wrong. Just a logical conclusion after a thorough observation.

Quendi • 1 year ago

Kinda ironic that you say "let them be" while commenting underneath 2 guys that couldn't handle someone else's opinion even going so far as saying the OP is on drugs for thinking the transition was smooth. And what logical conclusion? That they're wasting their time being angry in the comment section of a show they clearly don't like? Those 2 guys are as far from anything "logical" as possible.

So yes i second go1's statement of: If you don't like it just fuck off and be done with it. No one cares that you don't like the show.

orange juice is nice • 1 year ago

yeah f*kin gaslighters.
you put what i wanted to say perfectly

go1 • 1 year ago

"...after the quality of animes we get now drugs are needed to cope..."
I quoted his words and i ask: Where is logic in here and how does it help?
If you dont like it then go somewhere else. It's a "fan only" zone. :)
Normies like you go to 177013 and boku no pico, dont taint good stuff with your dirty shoes.
